SolMan Web UI customizing for End User:

Dear All,

SolMan7.1

I have configured Support desk in WC Incident Management. Please help me to restrict end user for any edit/changes for the fields in web UI marked in yellow.

I would like to know, how to customize Incident Management web UI for end user? And also end user shouldn't do any changes, should only display "Confirm" option.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

please consider to give access to end users to a copy of the business role SOLMANREQU and not SOLMANPRO. SOLMANREQU is a pré-defined business role for end users, it's simpler and has les fields, only to create and manage their own tickets.

Then you can use the other links informed above to learn how to configure the business role the way you need.

Below I show an example of the screen for the end user who has authorization only for SOLMANREQU. You can see that some partner profiles are read-only for them.

Hi,

You have to copy the business role SOLMANREQU to a ZSOLMANREQU, as you probably have done already for SOLMANPRO. Then you follow the guides on how-to configure the screen of the business role in case you need to change it, but first test it to see how it looks like. There's not too much to configure. As I said, this is a pre-defined business role for end users.

In order to have this business role available, include for you (and then for your users) a copy of the authorization role SAP_SM_CRM_UIU_SOLMANREQU. The name you give to this authorization role related to the CRM UI is the name you need to add to the business role, like below:

If you add this authorization role to you, you will have to select the business role you want in the first screen of the Web Client UI, since you already have ZSOLMANPRO assigned.

This authorization role is included in standard composite role SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE_COMP, so you need to copy the composite role, generate the profiles for your single roles inside it and assign this composite role to your users.

I recommend you to do not assign business role ZSOLMANPRO to end users if you want them only to create and manage their own tickets. This business role is for Processors, you will need to hide and control too many fields in order to achieve something that SAP already prepared for you.

Hope I could help.

Kind regards,

Raquel
