Software Component version cannot be changed

hi,

I did one scenario and i have just tried to export this one.

Now I am not able to edit any component in the scenario(data type,mapping......).

It is saying that <b>Software component version cannot be changed</b>.

How can i edit the component?

Hi Raghu,

Just to be a bit more clear, open your software component version from your ESR and select the checkboxes "Objects are Original Objects" and "Objects are Modifiable".

Also to avoid this I recommend you to check above checkboxes before you perform the export, and just in case, to do an small change and activate again your ESR objects, finally restart the application if required.

in the software component version in the repository

you have 2 attributes

set this one: "objects are modifiable"

then it should work:)

Thanks for ur reply..

Our problem is solved.

But one thing we are exporting the whole scenario with .tpz extention. The file was saved in a default drive.

Now we want to import the same scenario to another Software Component.

How we can import the scenario?

as far as I know you can only import the your file into another repository

you can't do it into another software component

Hi Michal,

I faced the same issue as Software component version can't be changed. I saw your answer as

in the software component version in the repository

you have 2 attributes

set this one: "objects are modifiable"

as i checked the check box as "Objects are modifiable" and while saving it it is showing as "Unable to save the software component version".

please help me in this regard.
