SmartFilter Value Help With Annotations Issue

Hi, 

I am working on a UI5 Project. Here is a short context before getting into the issue. 

I have a dialog box which shows smartfilter with smarttable. I have bound them to a cap entity. I maintained UI annotations in the annotations.cds file. 

My Cap service has got two entities. One entity named ActionLogOverview provides data to the smarttable. Another entity ExtRef acts as value help for the smartfilter.

Now when I click ExtRef, the popup looks like the below. I am not getting the table layout to choose the ExtRef values. 

Even on clicking the value help in the above image, it opens the same dialog on top of it. Nothing happens. 
However, in the network, i can see the values are fetched from the Value Help Entity successfully. 

P.s. I am on SAP UI5 version - '1.120.3'

Does your ExternalReferenceVH view on the ExtRef table have an ExtRef column?

Yes. It has ExtRef Column. @Willem_Pardaens
