Schemas or documentation: Integration patterns

Hi experts,

I am looking for any schema or usage matrix when you can find patterns of integration. I would like to find basic SAP recommendations about middleware usage. Like for example: "it is recommended using PI for A2A between backend systems, Backend2DB, do not use it for moving heavy files, not recommended for an integration between an R\3 and a BI or not recommended for Backend 2 Frontend integration and so on.

I know it is a basic and evrybody knows most of the cases but I have been looking for the chart for 15 min and I could not find anything. I also know that perhaps I deserve a [LMGTFY|http://lmgtfy.com/?q=site%3Asdn.sap.commiddlewareusage] but may be you are very familiar with this particular chart and you can make my life easier.

Hi,

SAP recommends to use SAP tools, and so to use PI for your middleware tool, instead of using a non-SAP tool.

Officially there is no real limitation.
