SAP Web Dispatcher (HTTP Code 400: ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED)

Hi ,

I've successfully installed SAP Web Dispatcher but when I'm trying to connect Solution Manager to to Web Dispatcher it gives me this error.

Pls help me to fix this error.

Hi Arman,

For http 400 (Bad Request), make sure the host/port target destination of the called Web Service is reachable. Make sure the specified protocol (http/https) is consistent with the specified port number as per note 1822831 - Web Service Soap Errors in solman_setup.

A kindly remind, The Web Dispatcher configuration is ONLY required if at least one Dialog Instance is available. Otherwise please select "No SAP Web Dispatcher used".

Hi Ning,

The Web Dispatcher works fine [pls see pic #1]

My Solman is dual Stack ABAP-JAVA.

The only reason I'm installing the Web Dispatcher because I need to Setup DPC/DCC Web Service URL in Basic Configuration.

I need this parameters.

Are there another way to find this parameters?

Hi Arman,

As far as I know, web dispatcher in this configuration step 2.4 Solution Manager Internal Connectivity is not mandatory.

You can let it do automatically, it will create URL for the web services and store it in the configuration store of the Diagnostic Agents.

Good news.

Both problems are solved.

for Web Dispatcher I've used the numbers for FQDN.

And when I re-executed "Setup DPC/DCC Web Service URL" step it becomes green.
