SAP PI JAVA stack not loading

Former Member

Hi everybody!

I recently have installed SAP NW 7.3 PI in windows+sql server

I have patched java stack to sps10 and I'm currently patching sps10 of abap stack

My problem is: I'm trying to access to NWA with url http://localhost:50000/nwa (my instance is 00) but internet browser isn't showing anything. It looks that there is nothing running over port 50000 (firewall is disabled)

I tried with useradmin (http://localhost:50000/useradmin) and it happens the same

SAPMMC shows in green all my instances and java log is not showing me anything

What can I check?

Why can't I see anything?

thanks in advance

Hi,

You can check if port 50000 has been open by AS java process by the following commands:

netstat -ano | findstr 50000

tasklist | findstr <PID>

and use telnet to check if port 50000 is reachable.

Thanks.

Hi,

First all check the below note.

Note 1451753 - Filtering administration requests for AS Java

Second thing try to see if you can access it using ip address rather than host name. If yes via ip address name try to maintain the host file entry for that ip if you are trying to access from your pc.

Try to access the url either by ip or host name on the server.

Third thing try another browser. This looks to be IE10. Try with IE 9 or IE8 or crome.

Thanks

netstat -ano | findstr 50000 => nothing

telnet => failed

I recently installed the system what happened?!

I already have applied that note because int the begining I wasn't able to log into java stack, then I applied patches and then I lost connnectivity to java stack

I wasn't able to log me in even using ip instead of url nor changing web browser

Hi,

Are you able to login in the backend.

Please check if firewall is active on the server.

Disable firewall and antivirus and then try.

Can you please attach the file that you have changed as per the note.

Was the server installed using virtual host name sicosrv26 .

Please past the content of the host file and ipconfig.

Thanks

Rishi

Hi,

Possibilities should be:

1. You used wrong port.

Maybe the instance number is not 00? not sure...

2. Java dispatcher is not started.

You will need to check dev_dispatcher trace.

First check PID for java dispatche via SAPMMC, and run the following command:

netstat -ano | findstr <PID of java dispatcher>

It will list all ports used by the java dispatcher process.

Thanks.

Hi , Login in sap mmc . If still every thing is green . These means all the services are running. Just try to expand on the. Node PIS. That will show you the instance no. It can be network or firewall issue if all the services are green in mmc. Try and see if this page comes up. Http://ip or host name:5xx00/startPage Where xx is the instance no.if you want to check more logs you can do it via mmc by right click in the instance and then developer trace. Thanks Rishi

Hi,

Wily can be cause of this but can be sure till see the logs .

But from the current logs that there is not enough no of work processes.

So please provide the no of work processes configured and remove the below parameter.

rdisp/queue_size_check_value

  1. ** WARNING => DpNetCheck: NiAddrToHost(1.0.0.0) took 5 seconds
  2. ***LOG GZZ=> 1 possible network problems detected - check tracefile and adjust the DNS settings [dpxxtool2.c 6438]
  3. MtxInit: 30000 0 0

Second thing if it can be network related issue i would suggest you to have entry in the below host and try to restart the server and see what happens.

192.168.0.212 sicosrv26 and fully qualified host name for the server sicosrv26

Thanks

Hi,

Please check AS JAVA processes in MMC and attach dev_dispatcher file(not dev_disp for ABAP dispatcher).

Don't mix up ABAP dispatcher and JAVA dispatcher.

Thanks.

Hi,

Can you please hash-out the lines matching the string "icm_filter_rules.txt" from the instance profile and restart the instance and check if you are able to solve the problem? Thanks.

Hi,

Open AS JAVA Process Table in SAPMMC and you will see java processes.

Check if you have dispatcher or icm and open developer trace with right click to see why 50000 port is not opened.

Thanks.
