Is there any material that would help me learn the very basics of SAP Process Integration (XI).

The PI forum is reserved for PI technical issues. There are other forums people can use to post questions such as this.

Also, the forum has got a search function which should have been used before this question was posted. If it was, then the original question would have been answered.
