I installed SAP GUI after I have installed the SAP Netweaver2004 on my PC. I want to use SAP GUI to logon to use ABAP workbench. But when I entered the 'SAP Logon', nothing is displayed on the 'system' tab !! How should I enter the ABAP workbench?
Thanks.

Thanks for your guy's great help. Now I understand I should configure the saplogon.ini.
It is a shame that I am very beginner. I don't know how to configure the content of this file. Could anybody tell me how I should configure it to be able to logon and then I can use ABAP workbench? (I installed it on my own PC and it is intended only for my own use.)

Hi,
Start your 'SAP Logon' program. Then on the 'systems' tab: you will find bew buttons on the right hand side. The description of the button changes depending on your sapgui version.
Choose something like 'User-defined' (or 'new server').
It will open a pop-up window...Fill-up the following:
- description: Anything actually (my PC, System name etc)
- Application Server: The IP address/machine name where your SAP is installed (in this case your PC address)
- SAPRouter string -> leave it blank
- System ID: Your three character SAP system ID e.g. C11
- System Number: two digit instance number (e.g. 00)
- R/3 is chosen
Then press: Add/save
Now you will see your system appears in the 'system' list and you should be able to logon provided the SAP itself is running,,,
Cheers and Good luck..

PS: Points always welcome..
