hello,
In Graphical Views,
The functionality with drag and drop to insert a union node is not working for every node.
If I drag node 1 (projection) to node 2 (projection) the union / join option doesn't appear.
The only node in which this option work is the last projection before the final view node.

There is not a workaround other that deleting the last 3 nodes (projection join and calculation).
This is not a viable solution for me as I have many view to maintain by adding this logic and reimplemnt join and calculation will take a week.
I experience this many times.
Are there any workaround?
Where(to who) can i send this issue to?

Hi albertosimeoni,
In case you still need assistance here, let us know.
I recommend you to raise a SAP Support ticket so we can review the scenario in detail and engage Development team to see if there is any alternative or this should be raised as a feature request in SAP Datasphere's Influence channel.

I was able to test and find the problem:
if you try to drag and drop a "free node" ( a node not connected to the graph: a node that lead to the final node),
to another node before a join, the only predefined option is "join", you can not do a "Union"
Example:
(projection node: drag over the last node, the selection between union and join option works)

(projection node: drag over a node before join, the selection do not appear, at drop event a join node is created)

Is this a sufficient / reproducible explanation?
Best Regards,
Alberto
Hi ,Just now I came across the same issue. This is seems to be a bug only. But the workaround is
We have to drag the Table and drop it straight away to another Table instead of a projection or join
and then try to do reverse engineering
