SAP Data Services Sybase SQL Server shared library libcomn_r64.so not found

Hi All,

I am using the latest SAP DS 4.2 SP4 installed on SLES 11.3 and Sybase ASE 15.7 as the source database also running on the same machine.

When executing my batch job, I receive the following error:

69250 1578811392 CON-120509 4/27/2015 10:34:46 AM Sybase connection error: Sybase SQL Server shared library <libcomn_r64.so> not found. Please make sure it is installed and can be located using the library search path (LIBPATH on AIX, LD_LIBRARY_PATH on Solaris/Linux, SHLIB_PATH on HP-UX).

I have added the $SYBASE/OCS-15_0/lib to the $LD_LIBRARY_PATH and confirmed the location of libcomn_r64.so. However, I cannot resolve this error.

OK.

I have resolved the problem.

The solution is to restart the job server to reflect the changes to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH

./svrcfg

** Data Services Server Manager Utility **

       1 : Control Job Service
       2 : Configure Job Server
       3 : Configure Runtime Resources
       4 : Configure Access Server
       5 : Configure SMTP
       6 : Configure SSL
       7 : Configure Native Component Supportability
       x : Exit
