SAP Data Archiving

Hi,

I need to archive some of the tables which are growing indefinitely ACCTIT, EDIDC.. etc.. we don't have any archiving solutions. If we archive the contents of this table can we access the contents of archive item at later time. Do we need to implement archiving solution.

Hi James,

If you are planning take data off from SAP database and you require to follow any legeal complainces then its good to implement SAP Archiving. You have to think it from auditing & taxing point of view before taking decision, but SAP recommendation is for "Archiving Solution" in your scenario, else if you do not have any legeal requirements for keeping data then you can take file system as option.
