SAP BusinessObjects 4.2 SP5 Red Hat linux compatibility

Hello,

I would like to know about the compatibility between SAP BO4.2 and Red Hat Linux.

I have an installation of SAPBO4.2 with SP3 working on Red Hat Linux 5. When I try to install SP5, the installer gives me an error. I have consulted the PAM and it says that BO4.2 is only compatible with Red Hat 6. That's OK, but then , Why worked my instalation BO4.2 SP3 with Red Hat Linux 5?

In summary: Can you confirm me that BO4.2SP5 is not compatible with Red Hat Linux 5? Do we need to install Red Hat Linux 6?

Red Hat 5 is not supported with any BI 4.2 versions, so I'm surprised you were able to install 4.2 Sp3 on it.
If you want to be on 4.2 Sp5, you need to be on RHEL 6 or RHEL 7
