Hello everyone, I have a question regarding whether it is possible to use the planning capabilities of SAC if I have an ECC 6.0 EHP 8 as a data source, and if so, what are the limitations that I have?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Daniel,
For connecting SAC the SAP ERP system needs to be at least ECC 6.0 EHP 07 SPS 04 and only connectivity to classic SAP InfoSet queries or SAP Queries is supported. The main difference is that if you connect with an S/4HANA system you will be pulling data via CDS views and Odata services and I would say the process is easier as SAC was designed to integrate with S4 for importing master data and actuals and also for sending plan data back. Sending plan data back to ECC might require additional effort.
Regarding planning capabilities once you finish the integration between both systems (ERP and SAC) you will not find any limitation or restriction different the integration related I mentioned above.
Kind regards,
Pedro Santiesteban
