Hello,
I'm wondering if there's any way to make sure I have a consistent network bandwidth when using SAC connected to my HANA database systems in Azure.
In terms of connection, I'll be using a Live Data connections with CORS type, as we want our data to stay in our hana database 2.0 hosted in Azure ( so almost as if it was on-prem from a SAC perspective ) . There won't be any data replication from our hana database to SAC.
In this configuration , 2 types of traffic are involved : The data traffic which will go straight from the user's web client to the hana database ( and for this I know I have a consistent network bandwidth as this will go through our express route ) , and the metadata and optionnaly SAML assertion traffic that will go through the internet. This is depicted in the following SAP diagram :

From my point of view, I can't guarantee any level of performance for the metadata / SAML assertions traffic as this goes through the internet. I'm wondering if there's a way to have this traffic go through some kind of dedicated link ( like some equivalent of express route but from SAP ) from SAP DCs where SAC is hosted , to my network ?
That way I could be sure I have a consistent network performance for both the data and metadata traffic.
If such a possibility does not exist, what would be the impact , in terms of performance, of having a slow connection on the metadata traffic ?
Best regards,
Jhon.

Hello Debjit,
Thank you very much for this answer. That's pretty useful.
Around the metadata exchange volume ( which looks really low as you mentionned ) , is there any SAP note or document about it. I could not find any, but maybe something from SAP exists.
Thanks .
Jhon.

This is by design.
There are no publicly available not for live connection, though notes on import connection may give you some idea. Though meta data for live connection will be significantly lower.
