Following the opensap course - Developing and Extending SAP Fiori Elements Apps

After using the provided - /DMO/CL_FE_TRAVEL_GENERATOR and generating the RAP artifacts in eclipse ABAP cloud project and step two generating ODATA V4/V2 services - step 3 Click preview for Travel v4 odata service ,Fiori app[ preview supposed to load but actually error appears on the browser -

Application could not be started due to technical issues.Prop. 'DISTANCE' has unit amount conver. and EDM type 'Int32' without decimals

the way I could by pass the error is to comment out -

//@Semantics.quantity.unitOfMeasure: 'DistanceUnit' in the view - zi_fe_conn_screenshot-from-2022-11-05-10-46-16.png AND then activate it hope someone in the opensap team can correct this error

Tried to generate the preview today and nearly a year later it is still an issue.

Luckily I found this answer. Thanks to everyone below that contributed, much appreciated.

I found a temporary work around the - opensap course - Developing and Extending SAP Fiori Elements Apps

provides a program generator that generates all CDS /ABAP artifacts one of the CDS views generated is

zi_fe_conn_##### (where #### IS genated by the tool

/DMO/CL_FE_TRAVEL_GENERATOR depending who is using the tool as abap workspace is shared in abap cloud trail environment)

so open the cds view zi_fe_conn_##### in eclipse you will find a annotation for the selection fld see below just comment it out :

//@Semantics.quantity.unitOfMeasure: 'DistanceUnit'

Connection.distance as Distance

Then activate the cds view zi_fe_conn_##### and all other dependent cds views ,then regenerate the SAP fiori elements page ,the error displayed in browser goes away and one can access the functionality

The above is just a temporary workaround ,it will be nice if some one from opensap or sap corrects the root error IN abap cds GENERATION tool -/DMO/CL_FE_TRAVEL_GENERATOR
