HI,
Message ID is unique ID wherever it is , this will helps to trace the message which is traveled in n number of system (EX: PI -->PI-->ECC). In this 3 system same message id will be there for one single messafe, suppose if you want to track the particular message you can do it by message ID.

Hi shiv,
If you connect two PI dual stack boxes with XI adapter you will get the same message ID in both system.
you can also get the same message id for single stack if you connect using XI protocol over SOAP adapter. You need to add some parameter (i don't recall yet) in target URL to get the same message ID, but it is available in PI 7.31 sp06 and above.

Hi Shiv,
Do you want the same message ID on both PI systems? I guess this is not possible.
Why should you want to have that?
Kind regards,
Dimitri
