SAC line chart comparing multiple years

Is there a way to compare multiple years within the same line chart so that I am showing months along the x-axis and each line represents a year? We want to visually compare results of previous years to current year to identify trends above/below previous year results. In other words, is there a way to stack the lines in the chart below? Thank you.

Hi Michael,

you should be able to achieve this with the previous year calculation.

Click on your measure in the builder panel (...) and add a time calculation with previous year. Then you should see the last year (2021). Filter the chart on 2022. If 2020 is needed repeat on the previous year of the previous year.

Steffen

Hi

I am looking for displaying three time series above each other.
One for 2023 actual headcount, one for 2023 budget headcount, and one for 2022 actual headcount.

What kind of time calculations are u referring to?

Also, in my model, it appears that I cant choose more than one version for the data.

Thanks

In your case as version is also changing you might need to add restricted measure calculation with date and version. Refer to the instruction below.

Hm..not sure if that is the solution. My dimension is date, and when I select 2022 and 2023 the charts are not above each other. They are side by side.

Looks a tiny bit different in the new UI but still very helpful.
