Hi,
what is the purpose of RSA3? Does it really transfer any data from R3?
I went through the docs on the different update modes . I didn't understand the modes 'I','R','C','S'.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Karthik,
RSA3 is only to check the data before sending to BW.
How the data is look like.Fields are filled correctly.
It will not transfer any data.
While doing testing we will take consider the RSA3 and we will compare it with PSA as well as data targets.
If you need more information I will help you.
If you are satisfied with my answer assign me some points.
Thanks

RSA3 is only for check extractors....Master Data and Transactional.....If you Initialize values for some DataSource you can see this data in RSA3 TX if you have a tansactional extractor you can see the values that it would returns you depending on filter values....

Hi ,
Transaction RSA3, or extractor checker, is used in the BW source system to check data sources for various extraction modes, including full update, delta update and delta initialization.
Once you fill the setup tables you chn check the no of records in setup table .

HI Karthink,
The purpose of RSA3 is a extractor check, for example after you activate a datasource, usually you go to RSA3 and check if the extractor is working fine.
RSA3 extract the data that will be pass to BW, so its a preview of the data transfer.
