RFC_ABAP_EXCEPTION

I am trying to browse an SAP CRM system. The user has been given ALL access and has all the correct roles etc. We checked note 1916294, but didn't help. We get the following error:

Error creating RFC Function </BODS/TABLE_NAVIGATE>:

<RFC_ABAP_EXCEPTION- (Exception_key: FU_NOT_FOUND,SY-MSGTY:E,

SY-MSGID:FL , SY-MSGNO:046, SY-MSGV1: /BODS/MODEL_NAVIGATE)>. Notify Customer Support. (BODI-1112368)

The target system is Not modifiable, so generate and execute will not work, and the Execute Preloaded option gives the above error. Please, can someone help?

Further information to this, we saw that SAP CRM does not have the following function modules, /BODS/MODEL_NAVIGATE, /SAPDS/MODEL_NAVIGATE. Does this mean that a CRM system needs to be open all the time, to be able to connect?

Anyone have an idea?
