Hi,
Is there a way to report on the escalation path that a workflow has followed during its lifetime/
Cheers,

Hi Ross,
Over the lifetime of the workflow (all versions, past and present) or the object in a particular workflow?
Or, many objects in many workflow instances?
if 1, that will take some digging - you would need to display each workflow version. I don't really see the use of this, so let's move on...
if 2, my initial response is 'Look at the Workflow Log' - you can display what has happened to this object throughout it's workflow process in a variety of ways. User view, technical view, classic technical log.... If it's one document/object that you are interested in, you can clearly show what has happened. Transactions SWI1, SWi2_Freq are a good start.
if 3, a summarization of the escalations that have been performed on a number of documents/objects over a period of time - that may take some deciphering. I would identity the dialog task(s) that are being used, run SWi2_Freq over time, and then try to extrapolate the escalation path from there.
Having said all that, it really just depends on your workflows, how pressing the need is, and your comfort with the workflow system
Good luck,
Sue
