Planning query doesn't allow to input data

Hi Experts,

i'm looking for a solution of unexpected issue while configuring Planning model in SAP HANA Studio.

What I have:

1. Actual data: aDSO

2. Planning data: Planning relevant aDSO

3. Composite Provider contain union both of aDSO's. List of characteristics completely the same.

4. Aggregation Level. All of the infoobjects from Composite Provider included inside.

5. Finally, input-ready query where I assign to each key figure corresponding aDSO and made a key figure from Planning aDSO input-ready.

When query opened in Analysis i've got a report with greyed cells without input-ready cells. But I expected to find an input-ready cells.

Why unexpected issue? Cause I have absolutely the same model on another set of aDSO's and everithing works fine: I can make inputs and planning functions (recalculate, save. etc.) is available.

Any ideas?

Hi Alexander,

maybe the planning aDSO is still in load mode: this is not the same as 'Planning Mode' in the BW Modeling Tools. The latter only indicates that the provider supports planning but whether the InfoProvider is in load mode or planning mode can be checked in 'Manage the Data Store Object' (upper left corner of aDSO maintenance).

Another reason might be that you are using a key figure referencing a currency/unit where the currency/unit value is not uniquely determined at cell level.

That is a point - I've swiched aDSO to Planning mode as I did before (below you wil find not my screenshot, but I have the same situation):

Could it be a reason that I'm using aDSO with data (not planning aDSO) which based on another aDSO and get data through expert routine in transformation?

Hi Gregor,

many thanx for your help. Your supposition regarding units was absolutely right! I've added units directly to key figure in query and now it is input-ready!
