Hi. Have anyone used OpenText Livelink for SAP Solutions? is there any other data archival and document management solution?
regards,
lynn

We are starting to use Livelink here at the company I'm working at. I am currently working on linking some of the scrolling news feeds into the portal with much more to come. Let me know if you have specific questions.

Personally I would have rather gone with the SAP KM solution because the integration would have been much smoother and well, my background and area of interest is in SAP. I wasn't involved in the decision making process so can only guess as to why they went with Livelink rather than SAP KM.
From what I've seen so far Livelink is pretty good. The functionality is quite good and it is definitely scalable. At the moment it is mainly being used for document management but I suspect that more of the functionality will begin to be used as people get more involved in using it.
Since it is web based any component can be integrated into the portal by creating simple iViews to the components. There is some config on the Livelink side to modify the appearance of the content so you don't see the Livelink header section for each page.
Hope that helps,
Robin.
