Hi MDG experts
We have the MDG deployed on top of the Operational ERP. After the master data passes through the MDG process, it is stored in the backend SAP ECC system. In this case, MDG is not expected to send the master data to any downstream systems.
I have a few questions as below:
1. Based on the setup mentioned, is the master data transferred automatically from MDG (staging table) to the SAP ECC (active area) ?
2. Do we still need to configure the DRF, especially in case of MDG-S scenario ?
Thanks for all your help.

Hi Neelesh,
1. This depends on the use case ... MDG-S, -C and -M are implemented with the "reuse option". Means: data is transferred automatically to the ECC tables through the "access class". No further replication needed if you do not have additional client (downstream) systems connected. MDG-F uses the "flex option". Means that the "active area" is defined as an "active flag" in the MDG tables (which are used for the staging as well). In order to get them into the ECC tables you have to use the DRF (for connected clients as well as for the ECC where the MDG is deployed).
2. As you do not have downstream systems nothing needs to be done.

Michael
