Migrating from an existing Java Web Application to Portal

Hi,

How feasible is it to migrate from an existing Java application to SAP Enterprise Portal ? What are the factors that needs to be considered ?

It is quite a huge web application which connects to an existing SAP HR System. The functionalities and business processes are different from what we have in ESS & MSS and it calls a lot more transactions which are not standard SAP Transactions. So just importing the business package is also not going to serve the purpose. Customizing the business package to meet their requirements is going to be highly time consuming.

Recreating the application in Webdynpro or HTMLB is again a killer task.

How do I go about this ? Is there a way that I use their existing web application as it is to have it running on Enterprise Portal ?

Any document which precisely explains the procedure to do this ?

Any valuable inputs would be highly appreciated and awarded.

Just you deploy your .ear file in j2ee engine thru' SDM and do create an iview on top of your .ear file,

i hope it solves your problem.
