MDG stand alone and ECC

Could someone give me an idea about difference b/w MDG stand alone and MDG linked with ECC?

Hi Arihant

MDG Standalone is called as Standalone deployment option while MDG linked with ECC is known as co deployment option.

SAP recommends both and client need to select depending upon his landscape setting.
