MDG-MM maintain Segmentation Data

Dear community,

Is it possible to maintain the Segmentation Data for Materials with SAP-MDG?

The fields on Basic Data 2 are SGT_CSGR and SGT_COVSA.

It seems that they are not included in the standard MM Data model.

On the other hand there was no statement that segmentation data are not supportet by MDG.

Has anyone experiences extending the MDG-MM Data model with these fields?

We really want to use the MDG-Workflow for maintaining these data fields.

Hi Wolfram,

to prove whether a certain field is delivered in the standard data model MM you can refer to the attached excel file in the SAP note 3134600.

If the searched field is not delivered by standard in the data model MM, than you have the option to extend the data model MM with that field as a custom field added.

Hello Neeraj Jain,

thank you for the link to the blog. We already set up the segmentation.

The issue is the maintenance of the segmentation setting (Structure, Strategy) on material level.

We use MDG for all tasks regarding the material master data. Therefore we also want to maintain these data with MDG.

At the moment it seems, that this is only possible with MM01/02.
