MDG certification

Hi everyone,

I want to learn about SAP MDG and get certified in the same. I have no prior in MDG but little experience in data governance. Can someone please guide me on how to proceed. From where and how to start. Any link to some free resources will really be helpful.

Hi Aruvansh,

Please check the MDG Learning Journey site. The certification consists of a questionaire with 80 questions requiring deep-dive product knowledge. This can be gained through training (e.g., courses MDG 100 and 200) which is also described in the Learning Journey.

Thank you for your response. Would these courses be helpful for someone who has no prior knowledge of SAP MDG? I am completely new to MDG and SAP in general, hence the question

Hi Aruvansh Kumar,

The MDG100 course is focused on the processes and key capabilities of SAP MDG whereas the MDG200 course is more advanced and focused on extensibility and configuration. See the prerequisites listed in the MDG100 course description. An understanding of key master data and associated LoB processes is key to understand the benefits that MDG adds on top.

Looks like C_MDG_1909 will be expired by 28th March 2024.
Is my certification/badge valid post expiry date?

When will the new version of the exam be available and will SAP release the updated contents of MDG100 & MDG200 anytime soon?
