JAVA JDK Download??

hello All,

For my SAP Installation I am not able to able to download JDK 1.6 for Windows 2003 server & Intel Xeon Processor.In Sun Java website when I am trying to download it it is promting 3 options for Windows.

1.Windows-For 32 Bit

2.Windows Intel Itanium

3.WindowsX64-For AMD.

Which one I should select for Intel Xeon Processor??

Moreover One doubt I am having why there is no JDK version for HP-Unix??

If your server is Windows 64 bit, use 3.WindowsX64-For AMD.

If I select WindowsX64 can I download Intel Xeon Processor??I mean to say in windowsx64 all types of processor whether Intel as well as AMD can be downloaded??

Yes, It is for Xeon ...

And if you want to download for AMD64, it is available on sun.com site...

Hello Rajesh,

In sun.com site while downloading JDK there are only 3 options:

1.Windows

2.Windows for Intel Itenium

3.WindowsX64

If I click WindowsX64 whether it is applicable for Xeon as well as AMD processor??If I select Windows it is only for 32 bit,2d one for Itanium series.

It will work for Intel and AMD both...(WindowsX64)

Just download it, install and try...

Hi,

Goto System information tab of your win 2003 server and check what is an archetecture of you HARDWARE.

There are 2 type of architechture in windows intel i.e itanium and AMD X86

if system infor shows x86 , then you can install the java exe as rajesh suggested.
