Insert a model update button into a story

Hi,
I need to be able to update the model of a story from the story.
What would be the best way to achieve this?
Should i turn my story into an application? can applications initiate a model update?
Or mayeb there is a more straighforward way of doing it?

Hi 101ger,

By saying 'Modle update', are you referring to trigger model data refresh(import) from story? I'm afraid currently it's NOT possible either from story or from application.

SAP is working on this direction to be available in future release. The only possilbe way for the moment, is to emed Modeler UI into story, but this requires story viewer aving proper model authorization to operate.

Yes, I do mean the model refresh.
By "emed Modeler UI" you mean embed the webpage where the update button is?
If thats my option how do i then make sure that the page opens in the data managment tab and not in modle structure?

I see no option to show the data management UI only.

as an idea - it's interesting and you can create influence for sure, I'll upvote. But for the current release, there is definitely no such functionality in stories / applications.
