Init delta process without data transfer greyed out

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to drop data to a DSO and load again. When i tried to do a init with data transfer it is taking 10 hours. Since 10 hours is long and in order not to miss the delta records, i have planned to do a init delta process without data transfer and then do a repair full yearwise.

While i am trying to do a init delta process without data transfer, it doesn't allow me as it is greyed out. By default init delta process with data transfer is checked.

How would i be able to do a init without data transfer ?

Hi Fardoon,

You probably would have worked out a way by now.

However, there's a work around that I have tried using '2LIS_02_HDR' extractor and the outcome was good.

As you have mentioned that you would want to a 'INIT without Data transfer' and then proceed with Repair Full loads (RFL). I believe you will be refilling the setup tables and then carry out the RFLs.

Since the system does not allow to do a 'INIT without Data Transfer', what can be done here is, to delete the setup tables first and then perform 'INIT with Data Transfer'. This will bring across zero records and initialise the delta same as 'INIT without Data Transfer'. Once this is done you can then refill the setup tables and carry out RFLs.

In case there are no plans to refill the set up tables and the existing data in them is going to suffice for the RFL, then the above option would not be suitable.

Alternatively, I also explored the option of updating the field INTISIMU (Deltainit Simulation) with the help of BASIS, where the the value '1' (supported) can be manually added at the OS level and it is possible. However since the first option worked for me we decided not to proceed with making any amendments at the OS level to the table ROOSOURCE.
