Hi All,

I have created a set of reports in My InfoView so that when i log in it automatically appears with the top level reports i want to see. I now want to share this with other users but when I try to send the template to a specific inbox or even when i try to move or copy it i will not allow me too. I am guessing this is a permissions issue but i dont know the steps to sort this problem.

Can anyone advise on how this is done? even if it can only be done by an Administrator please show me how because i can them forward any instructions to a Colleague who can make this amendment for me.

Thanks

Kelly

Hi,

I don't think you could sort the reports in the infoview.

What you can do is,go to My infoview and desing your infoview to show the perticular reports.

About sharing reports with other users you can send the reports to Business Objects inbox from CMC and also from the Infoview.Please varify your rights in to carryout the above mentioned steps.

Hope this will help you.

Hi Sorry if i have confused you but i can't send the InfoView reports via the inbox because i dont think i have the permission, i cant even move or copy this to to other folder (however i can move and copy webi reports to other folders)

What i need is the steps to be able to change this permission as an administrator so that i can send the instructions to a DBA Administrator in the company i work for to be able to change this for me.

Thanks

Hi,

Oh! now it is very much clear to me,thanks.

In admin(CMC) there will be a option called "add object to other folder" if admin selects grant to this you will be able to move/copy reports.

For scheduling there will be option called " Schedule the document to run" has to be checked as explicitly granted.

To send the reports to othere user "schedule to the destination" option has to be checked as explicitly granted.

If you are not a owner of the report but still you want to schedule it then "Schedule on behalf of other users" has to granted.

Hope this will definatly help you.

Hi

Thanks for this, i have forwarded our DBA your response and it still wont work as he has already tried this. Me and Him are not sure what else it could be and also not sure if it is actually possible to move or copy InfoView reports. Because i can copy and Move Webi reports etc perfectly fine just not InfoView reports (Single Dashboard is another name for them).

Have you got any more ideas?

Thanks

Check if the user to whom you are sending this dashboard have access to,

CMC>Application>InfoView-->Create Dashboard

CMC>Application>InfoView-->Organize

Hi,

Please check the application rights aswell.

If the dashboard is designed using EPM,then to view this you need application rights.Even though you have rights to the dashboard folder where its stored in infoview.

Please check your application rights aswell.
