HTTP 403 - Forbidden

Hi,

When i open the WD View in SE80, i am getting the error as follows

Service cannot be reached

What has happened?

URL http://nlvg087.svio.gdc1.ce.philips.com:8000/sap/bc/wdvd call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

Note

The termination occurred in system DMD with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.

The selected virtual host was 0 .

What can I do?

Please select a valid URL.

If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

Please suggest how to avoid this error. How to set the Configuration setting.

Hi,

If we get 403 error for WD ABAP applications, then the services in SICF would be inactive. Goto transaction SICF navigate to approproate node like sap -> bc ... and activate the service for that node by right clicking on the node and select activate service.

Thanks for the kind information.

I did according to you susggestion But still i am getting the following error

Error in the ICF node

Specific ICF Nodes in Transaction SICF Must Be Released for the Web Dynpro View Designer

Check the following ICF nodes, as described in note 517484:

/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/public/bc/viewdesigner

I don't have any node Public under path /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/.

Please suggest me what to do now?

Hi,

There is one report available to activate all the ICF services for WD ABAP. Execute the report RSICF_SERVICE_ACTIVATION by passing values 'WEB DYNPRO ABAP', 'WEB DYNPRO ABAP DESIGN TIME' & ' WEB DYNPRO ABAP TEST APPS'. This will activate and display the status also.
