How to create a transport request/customizing table?

Hi,...

I have create a table that can be maintained by sm30 in development system. How can I configure this table, so user can maintain this in development system only and create a customizing transport request to transport all data in this dev table to production.

Any help, links would be appreciated thanks

Hello,

Just making it customizing table won;t help sometimes. Go in table maintenance there is a selection screen for Dialog Data Transports. Click on standard recording routine.

I have already known and tried that... but, if I add new entries by sm30 I did not get prompt to choose transport request number... or should I user transport button in sm30 to transfer data on dev to production?

The need is whenever the user entry or change data on that table, user will get a prompt message asking to choose/create transport number.

Yusuf,

Shekhar has given you the right answer. With the standard recording routine switched on you will be prompted everytime you save changes via SM30.

Have you re-generated the maintenance dialog since setting this flag?

Or, perhaps the client you are testing in does not have the automatic recording switched on (check in transaction SCC4, should have the setting Automatic recording of changes for your client).

Check what you choose in delivery class in Attributes Tab in the table you created.

Just set it C(Customizing table, maintenance only by cust., not SAP import)
