How to access business objects usage/audit data?

How do I get to the business objects usage/audit data? I found a really old tutorial for this, so I know the feature exists. I doubt that it's still the same process though. Especially since the tutorial looked like it was running on Windows ME.

I've been looking for hours at this point, so I really appreciate any help that y'all can give.

we also need to access the records in the audit database.
