HCP server side code

What are the options to run server side code in HCP (trial)? XS seems to not work with HCP? So is it Java only?

Hello Kirill, on Trial you may use HANA MDC [1], this will also give you XS engine. Regards, Anton

Anton, the point is I'm trying to get full leverage of HCP integration. HANA MDC is a different platform as far as I'm concerned. What are the available options to run server side code on HCP?

It is not a separate platform. You make use of MDC on SAP Cloud Platform (btw HCP abbreviation is deprecated). With that one you may host your HANA native apps (XS apps) [1] on SAP Cloud Platform. As you already mentioned Java would be another alternative [2]. Or HTML5 apps [3]
