Hi,
We have just gone live with 2004s and noticing that users are continually being thrown out of the analyser and query designer with the generic 'critical error' message.
Looking at the system log I can see a number of entries with the following:
<b>Communication error CPIC return code 020, SAP return code 223</b>
Has anyone seen this before? If so how did you fix it?
any help appreciated,
Michael

Hi Michael.
I am having exactly the same problem after the upgrade to 2004s. Did you find any solution?

Stefan - unfortunately not. I have now left this particularly project so was unable to keep the pressure on this issue.
Your best option would be to raise this direct with SAP. The problem however is that I imagine that this could be caused by a number of issues and it will be difficult to narrow down.
What patch level are you on? I am now working on SP12 and Bex seems a lot more stable.
Hi Michael and thank you for your prompt answer!
The system is on SP12 and the front end BI tools SP13 so I don't think this is causing the problems. It is just weird that I'm having EXACTLY the same issues as you mention in your first post. I wonder what is causing them, but I will have to find a solution very soon as this is happening on the production system! I might have to raise an OSS as you say. Thanks.
