We want to use Fiori Leave Request Approval. Our employees are not sap users .By which user are they log in at fiori launchpad. Shall we open ESS user in sap ERP. At this time shall we need any user licence

Is your Fiori embedded in your SAP ERP system or is it a separate system?

All users will needs to have an SU01 user account as Yogesh has said as they need roles in Fiori-side for the catalogue to give them the Approve Leave Request app and service to execute it. They will then need the associated service and underlying authorisations in the SAP ERP to approve it.

The app will make use of SAP ERP workflow to route the items for approval

The employees will also need to have their SAP User Id mapped to infotype 0105 0001 to link their personnel Id to their SAP User Id.

You will need to discuss with your account manage implications to licensing for setting up your users and to confirm if the Fiori app for leave requests is still treated like ESS access for licensing purposes.
