FIORI Login Page - Basic Authentication Popup

When I click on the FIORI Launchpad URL , it first takes me to a login screen. Here, I don't give my login credentials and simply hit "Refresh" on the browser and I get re-directed to the Launchpad. It should have taken me directly  to the Launchpad and not via Loginpage - which does not work anyways .

Any idea what's going on here ?

Component Version  -

UIX01HCM - SP04

GBHCM002 -SP12

GBHCM003 -SP10

Here's how I get the error -

1)Trigger FIORI Launchpad via URL

2) Login screen appears -

3) Hit "Refresh"

4) Re-directed to Launchpad -
