Greetings experts!

As of today I started facing this issue when running our MDK apps in mobile devices, weirdly enough, all of the apps we tried work just fine when installed and executed in Android emulators (i.e. Bluestacks) but the communication issues only happen when installing them in actual mobile devices, which has never happened so far and worked just fine up until this morning.

I tried both our latest client built with MDK version 5.2, and an older iteration that was built using the previous MDK version.

When trying the 5.2 client, the error shows up during the onboarding process, returning this message right after the account and password input:

On the other hand, while trying our older app version we are able to go through the onboarding process successfully but a similar error shows up when trying to download the app content:

As you can see in the screenshot, it looks like the client is able to retrieve the app's metadata since I am able to briefly visualize our app's welcome page, but the same 'Bad Request' error shows up immediately after it.

Factors to consider:

  • As far as I know, this only started happening today.
  • The error doesn't exist when installing and running the apps in Android emulators, only in actual mobile devices.
  • We have tried 2 different app iterations that are hosted in 2 different SCP accounts.
  • Both Mobile Service's Destinations have this fix applied (Sudden error when fetching metadata in all MDK apps) But I also tried reverting that fix and registering the destinations the traditional way.
  • We have tried at least 3 different mobile devices, uninstalling and re-installing the clients several times, and also clearing the browser cache in all of them.

I heard from my colleague that in CF trial, there is a limit of max 3 registrations per app. (you can have max 10 apps).

You can delete an existing registration from "Mobile Settings Exchange" feature (under User registrations) to on-board a new one.
