Hi,

I am not able to bring up HANA system.[SP7]

I am getting the following error:

hpdemoserver:/usr/sap/WSD/HDB04> HDB start

If you still cannot fix this problem... you can try what i did... i have similar issue. Assuming your HANA instance is TRC

• Back up by copying TRC data folder complete with “cp –Rp”
• Uninstall using hdbinst TRC system
• Reinstall TRC system using the same HANA binaries as well as password SYSTEM and trcadm (SID and NR)
• Shutdown new TRC HANA gracefully using “HDB stop” as well as “sapcontrol –nr 02 –function StopService"
• Backup by move away mnt00001 folder out from TRC/global/hdb/data and TRC/global/hdb/log
• Copy these 2 folders back to TRC/global/hdb/data and TRC/global/hdb/log from previously backed up TRC data folder. You can find the files in this path: "/usr/sap/TRC/SYS/global/hdb/custom/config/"
• Change nameserver.ini’s id key to match the old nameserver.ini from the backed up TRC data folder
  • Do not do this step, you get error start hdbnameserver
• Start HANA using "HDB start”

Your data should still be there... at least mine was... Hope this helps, but this is the worse case scenario.

Also, tried starting ./hdbdaemon process manually

cannot send signal. (2, No such file or directory)

prepare for shutting service down...

stop ClockMonitor thread...

setInactive(nameserver@XXXXXhdb01:30001)

Any help would be appreciated.
