Hello All,

When i am trying to mount my server in the mdm console there is an error "File failed a CRC check".

Please explain me the error and its solution.

Hi,

The error ur facing is due to version mismatch.i.e. the version of ur MDM server and MDM gui are not of same patch level or version.

Ask ur basis team to provide the guis of same patch and version.

Hi Jacks,

As rightly mentioned by the above post this error occurs due version mismatch in the MDM server and the MDM Guis.

NOTE: MDM Guis are backward compatible.So you can have a higher version og MDM Gui work with a lower version of MDM server but the vise versa fails.

Also the build of the MDM version is important but a little difference in the build version of the server and gUI will work as long as your Vs and the patch of the both are same.

Hello ,

Like the version of server and MDM gui are

the version of MDM gui and Server are like

Version 5.5 SP6[5.5.62.50]

This u can check in the help window of MDM console this will give u ur guis version.

Also u can check this

The thread talks about the verison mismatch between MDM and ABAP API causing the problem of CRC check to arise. Hence in your case, while mounting the error, you are getting the error.

I feel,there can be a problem with the version and the build verision of your MDM server and Console GUi.

Thus Kindly check the SAP MDM server version and the Console GUI version if they are matching.
