Hi experts,

I'm trying to upload data into CML Cubes and these uses some DataSources such as 0CML_DELTA and 0CML_DELTA_CAP. Before loading data into BW System, i went to RSA3 in Source System and when i run the extractor, a message appears as follows:

Errors occurred during the extraction

and Help show me Error message no. RJ012.

Tcode SLG1 displays a log for this error:

Update mode F is not supported by the extraction API

Message no. R3011

Diagnosis

The application program for the extraction of the data was called using update mode F. However, this is not supported by the InfoSource.

System Response

The data extraction is terminated.

Procedure

Check for relevant OSS Notes, or send a problem message of your own.

does anyone have relevant information for this issue? I hope to have a reply back soon, it's very urgent.

hi, thanks for your replies.

Kedar, i've already tried to change the mode in RSA3 and i'm having the same error.

Beekay, really usefull your post, do you know how to set this pre-requisites in my system??

- Define technical valid-from date for the extractor.

- The change pointer must be activated.

Thanks in advance, i hope to have your replies..

Regards,

Christian.

As RSA3 is only extract checker..you can test if your extractor is working or not. As this datasource is based on delta type as "After Image via extraction" you cant test this in RSA3.

But to pull data to ODS you need to do prior settings for delta load . Minimum criteria is "company code".

make sure you fill the date for your extraction based on date properly as defined in help as follows:.

The relevant extractor (FVD_BCT_DATA_DELTA) is only set up for the selection of delta key figures. This differentiates between two situations: a “first delta” and a “delta”.

· A “first delta” is when a delta request (an extractor call) is sent to the extractor with a selection of a company code that has not been requested before. The system loads all of the flows that were entered after the technical valid from date of the relevant InfoCube, for each selection criterion (i.e. for company code and product type).

You define this date in the transaction BWFS_INFOSOURCE_DELT. Choose a date that enables all of the relevant flows after the position initialization to be updated from the ODS to the position InfoCube.

If your oldest InfoCube containing a position has been initialized on 01/01/2001 you should set the technical valid from date of the DeltaSource to the 01/01/2000.

· In a “delta” the system loads all of the flows since the last delta request. The system determines whether a position initialization exists, or when the last delta request was made, by means of table BWFS_SETTINGS. This table contains the relevant data depending on the InfoSource and the selection, in this case the company code. The system administers a time stamp for each selection criterion and value.
