Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0COMP_CODE

Hi

We just upgraded our BI system. Now I have loaded the data from souce to our PSA successfully. Now when that DSO is activated, it failed with the below messages.

Data Package 000014:

Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0COMP_CODE

Syntax error in GP_ERR_RSDGTMPLIR, row 460 (-> long text)

SID determination finished for InfoObject 0COMP_CODE

Process 000014 returned with errors

May I know how do I find the error accrately, as I could not find any data error. Is it saying the error is in the column of 0COMP_CODE ? It has all right values. Can anyone suggest to accurately find out the error ?

Hi Rahul, Parth,

Yes, I have this indicator set. SID Generation upon activation. and we do not report on this DSO too. Just used to store the data for further processing to cubes.

But this indicator is set for quite few years. How this error came only now ? and why its pointing to only 0COMP_CODE. I am just trying to understand the logic behind that error.

Any reason, though there is no data error ?

Hi Venkat,

Do you have master data loaded for 0COMP_CODE?

This error comes when there is no corresponding master data SID.

Please load this master data and repeat your transaction data load.

You will not get this error.
