Every Enterprise has certain business goals defined under scopes, scopes can be such as inter organizational, intra organizational and universal. Each enterprise also have major business systems or minor business systems together serve the goals of an enterprise in a given scope. Enterprise define business needs and requirements through the functions, roles and resposibilities of major and minor business sub systems
When the enterprise level scoped business requirements are fullfilled through an IT application it can be called as an enterprise application.
