DTP & Performance.

Hi,

I ask you a support in setting in the best way the paramethers of an DTP to obtain the best performances in loading data.

I have created an DTP for loading data from an ODS to an InfoCube in Extaction mode=Full. Now I do not know how to set the best "Extraction Form" selection below.

Any suggestion? ... Also for other parameters (as reducing the package size) for best performances.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I wish to know the relationship between the "number of processes, parallel processing" and the "Job class" possible setting for obtain the best performance in terms of execution time. Is it possible to have an example?

- Number of process depends on the number of processess you want to use vs. the number of background processess available - check this with your system administrator.

Also important to see how process chains are implemented; if you have chains running in paralell (several DTP in paralell, then be carefull on this setup.

- the Class (A/B/C) enables to system to process first the jobs with highest priority (A) if there are several jobs competing for processess at the same time. Chose A for the most critical/important ones.
