Disable Scrollbars

Hi All,

I'm having issues disabling the scrollbars on my canvas. I've set my own customized background using the Image Component, but when I stretch it to the edges of the canvas, a scrollbar appears. Can I willingly disable scrollbars from showing up? I've made sure that all of my valuable dashboarding items are within the main screen.

Thanks,

Brian

When you export...it will be fine.

This scroll bar is for the user to scroll the canvas in the design mode...this should not be a problem.

Hope this helps..

I couldn't find a resolution, so I just resized my components to fit within the canvas. No harm done.

Alas, now I have a new question... off to another post

To make that happen...you'll need to make the canvas fit inside the window. Press the "decrease canvas" button from the toolbar until it fits inside the design window and the scroll bars disappear. The downside is that your SWF boundaries will be based on the canvas size...so anything drifting off the canvas will be cut off in your final export.

I hate to contradict, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Within the design window (ie, workspace mode), the canvas fits well within the boundaries and I don't have any scrollbars. Yet when I preview or export the SWF, there are scrollbars within my canvas.

You mentioned that sometimes there are components that get clipped. This is exactly what I'm looking for, but I unfortunately cannot make it happen.

Gr8 Observation...Brian

When you export to PDF, you will get the vertical scroll bar by defaultu2026as it takes the size of a page.

I assume that the scroll bars are around the canvas and not within the image component. If this is true, then it is possible that the canvas itself is bleeding outside of the screen rather than the components.

First make sure all the components are visible and not partially going off the screen. Then click the button from the toolbar: "fit canvas to components." This will wrap the white canvas around your components, which should make the scroll bars go away in design view.

Hi there,

Thank you for the replies. Actually, some of the components are extending off of the canvas. This is what is causing the scrollbars to appear. I would prefer to have my background stretch just past the edge of the cavas so that a portion of it gets cropped. I would like to disable the scrollbars from appearing (even if something is off canvas).

Thanks!
