Difference between user groups

Dear Experts,

I am currently experimenting with roles, user groups, and creating users

I am having a hard time understanding the differences between the user groups

From what i understand, there are two user groups. There is a general user group and an authorization user groups.

I am trying to understand why there are multiple different versions of user groups and what they are used for.

Under SU01, you will get well explained help if you put F1 under User group box and also well mentioned how to modify/display the user groups.
