Difference between crystal reports and server

Hi all,

Do I need to have Crystal Reports Server XI in order for them to create and distribute crystal reports in an web application or is Crystal Reports Developer edition sufficient?

Hello,

Crystal Reports will allow you to create, modify, and save report files. Enterprise/Server allow you to have the report files run on a server for people to log on to and view. If you have a web application that can correctly show the report files made with Crystal then you shouldn't need Server.
