Hi All,
In a system that we currently have, SM21 log only displays entries for the past two days. I know that we can change the syslog file size by changing the profile parameter rslg/max_diskspace/local, but is there a way to decrease the amount of log entries in SM21.
Currently, we are having lots of Start and Stop Workp messages in SM21.

I know that this is a normal behavior for SAP Kernel 7.4x, but is there a way to suppress this type of messages so the log file will contain less entries? Or is it not recommended to do so?
Regarding the profile parameter rslg/max_diskspace/local, will we need to do something else, except for restarting the system, to make the settings take effect?
I would be very grateful for any feedback.
Best regards,
Duy

Hello Duy,
About the parameter "rslg/max_diskspace/local", you just need to restart the instance/system after setting it to a new value.
About suppressing those syslog messages, I did not find any reference to how to do it.

HI,
When you open the SM21 you can select the checkbox "High severity messages only".
This will filter out the "information" priority.
