Hi all,
I need to write the amounts on the Total column (the parent in my hierarchy), and it should be spread only on Top-down adj (bottom-up adj has been locked in the model with data locking). But when I write some numbers, the following error appears:

This does not happen if I already have some values on Top-down adj. In this case data locking works properly.
Is it mandatory to have some values on the column Top-down adj to make it work?
Otherwise, do you have any suggestions or an alternative solution?
Thank you,
Martina

How is your model disaggregation behavior set to ? It should be set to be based on data locking

Once this is enabled in model preference, please check the planning properties of the table in designer view

This is how it should behave.

Please see below for more details.

Hello Martina,
Hello Martina,
It's not mandatory to have some values in the Top-down adjustment column for data locking to work. Data locking should function independently of whether there are existing values in the Top-down adjustment column.
